EVA P6300 DR operation failed
Hi,
We have a seriouse probelm with our EVA 6300 storage, there was a power outage for the site, and after power up the systems, we got unwork IP gateway, so our main EVA no longer connected to the DR storage, and the DR groups got locked.
no matter we try we cannot modify them, delete them or deattache VDisks from them at the main site.
the status for the DR group:
Condition/State :
Operational state: Failed
Group host access: Blocked
Failsafe state: Locked(LinkDown/PowerUp)
Failsafe on unavailable member: Disabled
Failsafe on link-down/power-up: Enabled

Remove EVA from Command View
We have 2 HP EVA 4400s that are managed by P6000 Command View. I just shut down one of the EVA's and it will be decommissioned. Command View still shows this EVA under Unmanaged Storage Systems.
How do I remove this array from Command View (cache)? I only need CV to manage and see the one EVA we still have existing (as it is now).

EVA HSV200 Battery Replacement Issue
Hi,
We are facing an issue about HSV200 Controller Battery Replacement.
Fw XCS 5110 . The battery is new (with latest code).Even when we shutdown the controller, the replacement fail due probably to the gap firmware.The controller is unable de downgrade the battery.
As we brought the battery to a controller with XCS6220 (Lab Controller), the battery begins charging few seconds after install.
Someone has already faced same problem ?
I want to downgrade our lab controller from 6.220 to 5110 but I do not have intermediate level so as to bring the
battery working with XCS5110. Is there a possibility to obtain the code ?

HP EVA 4400 - DoD wipe option
We have a HP EVA 4400. Does the SAN offer a DoD wipe option for the disks before they are pulled out?
We have a 4400 we just shut down to be decommissioned. I deleted all volumes/vdisks from it before I shut it down but wanted to know if there was a DoD wipe option for the drives directly.

MSA P2000 vdisk crash after replacing failed drive
Two days ago I began receiving emails from my P2000 that the drive in slot 12 was experiencing a unrecoverable read error (event 58). This continued for a few minutes until the drive failed completely and the vdisk went into a critical state.
The next morning, I replaced the drive with a new one and configured it as a hot spare. The vdisk began reconstruction, but after about 10 minutes, I received a vdisk quarantined message followed by a reconstruct failed message.
Following that the LED on the replacement drive in slot 12 stayed green, but the drive in slot 10 went amber and was labelled "leftovr" in the management utility. The vdisk was again in a critical state and was inaccessible, crashing several of my VMs.
I shut down all of my VMs and then the SAN, removed the new drive from slot 12 and restarted everything. When everything was back up, the vdisk was again accessible though in a critical state being one drive short.
I repeated the drive replacement this morning. Cleared the metadata from the drive and added it as a hot spare. Again, in about 10 minute of reconstruction, the vdisk failed and the drive in slot 10 was marked "leftovr". I removed the drive from slot 12 and the vdisk recovered in about 30 seconds.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?

HPE XP7 Continuous Access Pair Creation via Command Line

I was looking for the Command line options to create Continuous Access / Business Copy Pairs using paircreate commands ( unix platforms )
We have horcm environment setup etc and the hosts are unix servers with their own Horcm files etc .
Wanted to know how can i specify the options shown in the Pair creation gui in the commandline using the pair create command .

EVA 8100 Cache Battery Refurbishment
Hi,
I'm trying to get the EVA 8100 up and running but as far as I can tell the only thing that's holding me back are these batteries. I have 4 "refurbished" cache batteries(Old units that had their cells replaced) and one used, but in 100% working condition battery. My problem is that all of them show up as failed when inserted into the controllers. The amber led with the exclamation mark turns on. My question is: Can I do anything to make these batteries work? Like I told you, I know that the cells are good, there's no sign of corrosion on the battery contacts(neither the contacts of the controller back plane). There was a topic on this forum that calimed it is possible to "reset" the battery by shorting out 2 pins from a chip that's on the battery pcb, but fails to mention which pins and which chip. I appreciate any advice you guys can give me! Cheers!

CommandView 10.3.7 / Win 2012 Server / Failed to login. Insufficient privilages
I am getting the error, "Failed to login. Insufficient privilages" when I try to login to commandview. It's a fresh install on a fresh server build. We want to move CommandView off a 2003 server onto a supported OS.
I matched all the local group members to what is on our working 2003 server. No luck. Firewalls are disabled. Installed as administrator.. I am not sure what else to try. The user I am using is a member of the local and domain admins group and in the local HP Storage Admins group.

Both EVA4400 embedded san switch port no light, host port status is Link to switch failed
Command View shows both controllers are good, except all the host ports status are "Link to switch failed."
The LED status of all the FC ports on the both embedded san switch is: amber and green are always on. And no light in the port comes out.
The mgmt port is not accessible via 10.77.77.77, assumed someone has changed it. Tommorrow I will take a console cable to take a look at it.
Has anyone see this issue before?

HP EVA 6300 leveling pending
Hi. We have HP EVA 6300 with 33 disks (each with 300 GB). All of them are united in one group, in which there are 10 Vdisk. Disk drive failure protection equals = Single. Free space 17%.
Recently, one of the disks went bad. Without glancing in the CV, we inserted a new disk (bay 13). But when we went into CV, we saw that another disk (bay 15) with the mark "Attention" (Operational state: Operation in progress; Data state: Migrating). We added a new disk (bay13) to the group, but it already shows 2 days: Occupancy: 0.00 GB and in the group properties shows: Operational state: Attention; Transition state: Leveling Pending
Please help in this matter

EVA 4400 Lost Storage Configuration
Dear Support,
I've a big problem with EVA 4400. The storage was moving to another datacenter and cannot started it.
When the storage starts it displayes the License Alerts and I cannot to see the volume and configurations.
