Hi
I have an issue with an EVA 4400 with 2 disk groups. When doing the leveling on the second disk group, the process srtarts over an over again after finishing. It shows a permanent "In Progress status". What can be the problem?
Also, the Controller Events log display the next lines:
ctime: 22 Jul, 2019 14:08:59.191136 - Current time value
ptime: 31 Dec, 1969 18:00:00.000000 - Previous time value
Why is it returning to 12/31/1969? Why that specific date? This issue keeps repeating itself on every leveling process.
Thanks

the topic starts, the Eva 4400 Management Module was damaged trying to update the fitware and it stayed in the middle of processes or I simply did not finish the update, I currently recognize the ip when doing ping 192..168.0.1 / 2373 but I can not enter or that the logon screen appears on the hp website,
the first question is a way to reset the factory apart from those ten seconds of the button since it is already and I can not enter, I assume there must be some low level option that I can recover the last software or the last version of the fitware, finally I see more in another reset button but I don't know if that hidden button on the right side would be of any use.
The second question is change. another controller of my other eva but this if everything works ok but I get the mangent controller ok but the ones that come out error are the two controllers the 1 and the controller 2 comes out attention, I try to configure the equipment from scratch and erase all the disks but It does not allow me to pass to that option until I enter the wwn of each controller 1 and 2 but we know how to know what number of wwn to put since it comes to put wwn and leaves xxxxxxxxxxxx in that number where I must put the wwn of the controllers.
I clarify that I am not interested in the communication of the two coji discs when making discs to initialize the equipment and the information does not interest me this backupeada.
My final question is the procedures that I must do and if getting that mgn hair that is special would help in the lake to be able to enter by putty or I do not know what to do urgently thanks
thank you

Hi! Need help with EVA 4400 and onboard management module.
EVA firmware 11300000 Build: CR2306lep-11300000
Management module firmware was latest available
The problem;
ABS via this module was work fine via manual IPv4, but i can't access WOCP (module setup and etc). Ok, i try reset management module to reconfigure it. I press reset button on module fort 20+ sec, module reset (LED's blink and down), network port link UPб, status LED on module Green. Module must reset IP to 192.168.0.1/24,no password and etc. Ok ... I try ping 192.168.0.1 = no luck, I try ping OLD module IP = no luck (((.
I try module re-insert, do reset few times via wait 30+ sec, connect direct cross cable to notebook, power-off/on EVA = no luck.
Ok, I install CV 10.3 on server, connect to EVA, CV ask me password from management module, OLD password till reset work ... In EVA = all green and all work, in EVA HW management module status = GOOD, show model number, s/n, Assembly part number, Assembly serial number, Hardware revision ...
I try capture traffic from module, I can see module mac and some IPv6! requests ... but no IPv4
What i can do to recover management module?
Tnx for any help!!!
Turned off the EVA 8100. After turning on the EVA 8100, the servers do not see the drives. And when the port is deleted, the controller reboots and leaves for an error. How can I extract data?Sometimes disks appear, but then one of the controllers gets overloaded. Alarm TF: 0403047f IDX: LF
Hi All,
As these things tend to do periodically, I lost connection to the EVA4400 management module. This time I tried resetting it, pulling it out, re-inserting it...nothing is working and I can't connect to 192.168.0.1:2373. Tried connecting a laptop to it (to eliminate cable/network switch issue)...no dice.
Command View shows the module in good operational state, lights are green etc. When I pull it out/re-insert it boots fine, green lights once again, etc. Yet I still can't connect.
Guessing it might be time to get a replacement unit??? Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Mauro
Hi,
We've got a very old EVA8400 which has one of it's disk groups in a state due to multiple disk failures. From what I can tell:
So I have very little experience with these EVA's, they got handed over from others who have left now. They are probably 10 years plus old now, but are still under support. We have raised a hardware call to get the replacement disks sent out.
Has anyone had this experience before, are we looking at complete data failure? Should I just wait for the replacement disks and take it from there? Should I click on "Continue with No changes" and see what it says? Any help or advice will be gratefully received!
Thanks, Andy

Good day. The 2nd company was closed, 4 sets of controllers with shelves got from it.
To my stupidity and out of ignorance, I reset the controller. later found out that now I do not have a license to use the HP P6000 Command View. The question is, is it possible to somehow restore the system?
digging on sites, you need agreement numbers and so on, they are not there, only accounts from the company that sold and serial numbers of devices are available. supplier company closed. this inscription gapes from below:

Dear All
We have problem when replace new SAN Switch, the disk use EVA Storage not detect. We replace SAN Swtich because older san switch fail.
Is right, the solution only with vgexport/vgimport? can we do vgexport, even though the disk not deteced because old san switch fail?

How can I continue to manage a legacy EVA P6000 array when Command View EVA 10.3 utilises Flash.
Flash in the browser will not be there beyond Dec 2020.
Anyone have a possible solution or thoughts or workarounds - apart from get off the EVA P6000.
I am wondering if a Portable Firefox ESR version from a few years back could be used. That might have the Flash plugin baked in.
Thanks
I just came across a refurbished FATA drive with some sort of mismatched info about it: caddy label says "1TB SPARE: 671148-001"; original (large) drive label says "MB2000FAMYV, 507613-002, 9JX248-035" (googling those shows a lot of "2TB" results); a couple of HP "hologram" labels show "AG691"; finally, CV-EVA says "NB1000DCLAL".
This HPE doc says bare drive assembly number 507613-002 is either a 2TB or the NB1000DCLAL/AG691B/671148-001 1TB drive, both "as assembled": https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docLocale=en_US&docId=emr_na-a00061522en_us
Is this usual? And what does "as assembled" mean?
Thank you.
