EVA 4400 management module firmware update
Hello,
maybe someone can help.
We have an EVA 4400 with CommandView 9.4 server based. We try to change to array based management.
The managemant module ist online with default settings, but firmware is 0001.0000 - very old. The tech guys who did the updates of Command View long time ago did not update the firmware of the mm ...
The old firmware cannot connect to the controllers. Firmware update to supported version 0001.4300 fails with 500 - internal server error. Same problem occurs trying upgrade to a old 0001.0020 version.
Any idea to get the upgrade working?

FC-Disk erasing - is there a FC Adapter? - How to do in EVA 4xxx
How to erase securly a Fibre Chanel Hard Disk? I found no adapter to connect such a disk directly, with USB or something else to a PC. Is there a possibility?
Without an adapter I would habe to deltete it directly in the Enclosure. (Still an activy array there and I found no option to delete a single disk secure.
Someone as any idea for me?

HP EVA P6000, Firmware disk 2TB MB200FAMYV
Hi
I currently have an EVA P6000 device, and recently, I purchased a disk as a replacement, from 2TB Midline SAS, modelo MB2000FAMYV, only that I requiere the minimum HPD5 firmware to be able to add it to the disk group.
Within the HPE support page, there are some version but is listed on the mentioned disk.
Anyone will have this version of firmware, who can help me ?

HP EVA P6000, error disk is unsupported

Recently adquired a 2TB SAS 7.2K disk model: MB2000FAMYV. However at the time of adding it to the EVA, I get the message: Disk is unsupported. The disk has the version of firmware HPD7 an the EVA has the version of firmware v10.01.00.120424.

The disk has the appropiate version of firmware, without it i managed to initialize it.
The others of disk of 1TB inside the EVA, has version of firmware HPD4 and HPD5.

Storagework EVA 4400
Hello,
We had HP Storagework EVA 4400 that contained the data for use on 3 servers.
Due to "unauthorized" access, the EVA4400 configuration got deleted which caused all the data loss on that storage.
How could we get the data back or do we have to restore the data back from our Symantec Backup Exec?
Please help.

File on Vmware datastore lost after HP EVA 4400 crash due to power failure
Our HP EVA 4400 lost power and after resuming power both the controllers had issue with the memory cache and were not starting up.
After replacing the memory cache the controllers are up and showing healthy.
But there was a warning that as the cache was lost then some data may be lost.
The LUNs presented to Vmware host seem to have a problem where some VMs won't power up and give error "File not found".
Currently I only know of 2 VMs with this issue and the vmx file for both was pointing to a snapshot disk (VM1-00001.vmdk & VM2-00002.vmdk).
The -00001.vmdk and -00002.vmdk are missing from the datastores and thus the error "File not found".
Is there a way to retrieve the -00001.vmdk and -00002.vmdk to restore the state before the SAN crash due to power outage?

Fault Management menus
Hi,
This morning our eva4000 displays on its OCP "the Fault Management menu" all the communications are stopped the CV does not see the storage nor the disks, we restart several times without result we have checked the switches all works well. after the ocp displays enter wwwn and checksumm.
we entered www and checksum the CV shows that we must start the initialization.
we launched the initialization and after all the data is lost and our storage becomes new as we bought it the first time.
we want to know if there is a way to rollback or restore our previous config.
are there any configuration files left on the server that allow us to restore our original config?
We appreciate a lot if there is help that will save us.

EVA4400 Won't restart
Hi
We had to do electrical maintenance in our data center and we had to shut down the EVA4400.
At the end of the maintenance, we tried to restart the EVA4400 according to the procedure and the 2 controllers never restarted.
From the management board, we get the same error message on both controllers:
BIST TE 0xB7 - SDRAM Configuration and Policy Memory Test
DIMM Slot 1 = 1024 MB
DIMM Slot 2 = 1024 MB
Total = 2048 MB
*** boot error report - b7150011,80000000,00000000,01003800,b7,15,1
Does anyone know what's wrong?

All Disks in Enclosures in EVA 4400 are showing Operational state as "One Loop connection Lost".
I've replaced two failed disks which are appearing under Ungroup disks, and attempts to group them keeps failing and my allocation is now 94% and is becoming a concern as per below.
Can someone please help with this?

I have a curious situation regarding replacement of 2 disk drives 900GB SAS in EVA P6300: after replacing and completing Leveling (one by one) of 2 broken hard disk drives HDDs Total Capacity of the Disk Group DG is reporting less than before why??

Tried replacing faulty Disk, initially is Green LED, when trying to Group gives below error and marks faulty.
HPE sent us 2 Disks same issue in the same slot.

Unable to find HP command view
Hi
We have an HP EVA 8100 and since some days ago we are not able to discover the storage system by using command view.
EVA is working and providing service, however the command view is unable to find the EVA. We have tried to find the storage system by using two different command view servers (both of them worked find since some days ago).
We have already reboot both command view servers, we have also reinstalled the command view software in a new server, we have check the switch zoning... nothing works.
We don't want to reboot the EVA (it is in production) unless it is essential to do it...
So we have think about using a newest command view software to check if that works.
I need to find a command view download link to get the HPE command view 10.x I just can find patches from 10.3 or similar, but I'm unable to find the original command view software.
Is there any way to get it?
